Are you ready to race? Come on out for the CASA Superhero 5K. This run will benefit the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of the Coastal Bend. So, not only can you have a great time dressing up and getting active, you know you’ll also be supporting a great cause. Every foster kid needs a superhero, so don your cape and make plans to attend this 5K.
About the 5K
The CASA Superhero 5K will take place on May 5, 2018, at 8 a.m. Get there early enough to get yourself ready for the race so you won’t be late. You can find the race at Heritage Park. That’s the perfect place to work up a sweat and hang out with members of your community. You can even bring the kids along, too!
Not Just for Runners
When some people hear “5K,” they automatically count themselves out. They think that they have to be a runner to participate. However, that’s not the case with this run. First, the event will start out with a 1K race. If you want to participate, you can. But if you’re not into racing, that’s totally fine. Just participate in the 5K walk. You don’t have to run at all – in fact, you can stroll along. Any type of participation counts, whether you’re an experienced runner. Just come out and show your support.
