Do you enjoy playing a round or two of golf? Well, you’re in luck! The 2017 George Puls Jr Golf Tournament is coming up in Corpus Christi, and it’s sure to offer a day filled with excitement. Get ready to get a hole-in-one on June 9th!
History of the Golf Tournament
The George Puls Jr 44 Golf Tournament has been a tradition in Corpus Christi since the mid-1980s. It was formed by the Nueces County A&M Club and the 12th Man Foundation as a scholarship fundraiser for the Corpus Christi A&M Club. The golf tournament was largely successful, and continues to bring in participation from near and far today! Since Mr. George Puls, Jr. was the main force in organizing and promoting the tournament, it was named in his honor on June 26th, 1990.
Though this tournament is tons of fun, it also goes towards helping a great cause. The proceeds fund the Nueces County A&M Scholarship Program for high school students in the area.
This Year’s Event Details
Would you like to join in on the 2017 George Puls Jr. 44 Golf Tournament? This event is open to the public, so feel free to participate! Travel out to the tournament on Friday, June 9th, 2017. Registration begins at 11:30 AM. Line up to register outside of the foyer of the Corpus Christi Country Club. For more information about the cost for this event, view the online registration form, here. (The deadline to complete this registration form is June 1st, 2017).
When you go out to this tournament, you will also receive delicious food! Lunch and dinner are available for all participants in the Men’s 19th Hole. Shotgun start for the event will be at 1 PM and the event ends at 5 PM. Be sure to attend the reception, awards, and dinner portion of the tournament while you’re there.
