Spend Your Fall Days At These Corpus Christi Parks

Corpus Christi is home to dozens of beautiful parks, and these are some of the best in town! Many have incredible ocean views and they are all wonderful spots to spend an afternoon with your family.

Cole Park at Oleander Point

There’s something for everyone at Cole Park! Little ones will enjoy running around and playing on the tactile playground while adults will enjoy the coastal and skyline views! Cole Park also features the Wind Dancer sculpture, fishing spots, an amphitheater, free parking, and a public restroom. Many people also enjoy birdwatching at Cole Park and regularly catch glimpses of egrets, herons, and terns.

Hazel Bazemore Park

Hazel Bazemore Park is another local destination for birders, especially around the fall and spring migrations. In fact, the park even has a dedicated hawk-watch platform! There are swings for the kids, a paved path for running, walking, or biking, and several nature trails for light hikes. Hazel Bazemore Park provides access to part of the Nueces River where you can enjoy a picnic or get out on the water in a kayak.

Bayfront Park

This waterfront park is the perfect place to cool off on a hot Texas day! Not only does it offer beach access, Bayfront Park also air-conditioned restrooms, a shallow wave pool, and fountains to help adults and kids alike keep cool in the water. When your day at the beach is over, you can utilize the rinse showers to get the salt and sand off your skin before you head home or out to a delicious meal at one of the many nearby eateries.

Bayfront Arts and Science Park

Situated between the Science and History Museum and the South Texas Art, the Bayfront Arts and Science Park offers the perfect place to rest and snap the perfect picture between your visits to the museums. In the center of the park, the water gardens make for a breathtaking photo op while you can capture views of the harbor and Harbor Bridge.

Swanter Park

Located along the seawall, Swanter Park has a paved walking/jogging/biking path so you can get some movement in your day with the added bonus of a gorgeous view of the sea! There are also steps down to the water so you can dip your feet in to cool off!
