Even with all the beaches nearby, one of the best ways to cool off and make a splash is by visiting Hurricane Alley Waterpark. The park can deliver a full day (or days) of fun for all ages.
Rides for Everyone
The Hurricane Alley Waterpark has an incredible range of attractions, including those for kids, those for thrill-seekers, and everything in between. Go on a slide like Momentum where you will flow down twin serpentine slides before ending up in a splash pool or CAT 5, which is similar but six stories tall. Visit Shredder to go surfing at the water park or just enjoy the speed of the Storm Chaser. When you want to relax, float along the Gulf Stream, which is the park’s lazy river, or check out the Storm Surge with its 12,000-square-foot wave pool. This was actually the very first wave pool in Corpus Christi!
My kids love the Diamond, which is set up to be like a baseball field, complete with water spraying from gloves, bats, and balls. Once your kids are occupied, get a drink at the Riptide Hideaway Bar. Or bring your kids; there are child-friendly beverages that will make them feel grown up.
Make the Day More Relaxing with a Cabana
While simply visiting the waterpark can be a lot of fun, you can make it even more relaxing by renting a cabana. They have options that hold 6, 10, or 20 people, making them perfect for guests. When you rent a cabana, your group is the only one with access to the shelter for the day. You also get a service attendant, a bottle of water for each guest, and a refrigerator. The cabana also includes a personal lock box to store your valuables, a flat-screen TV, a ceiling fan, plush seating, and a service attendant. They are definitely worth it if you are visiting the park with a group that includes very young children or seniors.
Get a Snack!
The Hurricane Alley Waterpark has everything you need to refuel during your visit to make sure you don’t run out of energy. You can get foods like burgers, chicken tenders, hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, salads, fries, nachos, and pizza. There are refreshing options like Dippin’ Dots (everyone’s favorite), fruit cups, cookies, ICEEs, and wine and beer for the adults in your group.
Consider a Season Pass
If you plan on visiting the Hurricane Alley Waterpark more than two times before the season is over, you should definitely consider investing in a season pass, as it is just twice the cost of a general admission. Of course, there are discounts if you come to the park after 5 p.m. as well as for those under 48 inches tall and seniors.
