The Toyota Sequoia Is Here To Impress

2023 Toyota Sequoia

The new 2023 Toyota Sequoia does more than just say hello. It’s bold enough and powerful enough to make you ask yourself: “Why am I not driving one of those?”

Think Big

The Sequoia has always been a three-row vehicle, a reliable family hauler that has plenty of room for people and cargo. But the redesign for the 2023 model year makes it clear that the Sequoia isn’t playing around. Instead, the body of this big SUV is built on the Toyota Tundra platform, and it now uses some of the same stuff the Tundra does under the hood, too. The all-new Sequoia comes standard with the Tundra’s iForce MAX hybrid powertrain, which combines an electric motor with a 3.4-liter V-6 engine to produce 437 horsepower. Inside the Sequoia, there’s a large touchscreen infotainment system with the latest software. The interior of the Sequoia can fit eight adult passengers without feeling cramped.

Style And Substance

With power to spare thanks to the Sequoia’s 3.4-liter V6 engine and an updated look and amenities throughout the cabin, the Sequoia could rest on its laurels. Instead, it received a full-body makeover to make the exterior look just as handsome as the interior, with its new rakishly handsome front end and grille. With ample storage space in the rear and plenty of cubbies for smaller cargo throughout the cabin, the 2023 Sequoia gives you more of what you want — and nothing that you don’t. The Sequoia comes with a full slate of driver-assist and safety technology as well. And Toyota doesn’t make you pay extra for those. Amenities like forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control are all standard on any trim level of the 2023 Sequoia.
