You might have been to an escape room in the past, but you’ve never been to one like the Lockdown on the LEX. This escape room is aboard the USS Lexington Museum, and it blends history and puzzles to create a fun experience. The escape room is $35 per person, and it includes admission to the museum. Up to 10 people can play, so gather up your buddies and get ready to solve some clues and bust out.
History and Fiction Collide
The USS Lexington has a storied history, and the escape room’s organizers use that history to create an epic experience. It helped block Russian ships that were trying to reach Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis, so the organizers have created a story around the crisis. When you are in the escape room, you’ll have to defuse a nuclear bomb that a Russian terrorist left on the ship. If you fail, the entire world could be destroyed. If you succeed, you’ll save the world and have some serious bragging rights.
Get Help Along the Way
This is a very challenging escape room. You’ll have to solve a variety of puzzles, but fortunately, you can ask for help during the adventure. You’re allowed up to three hints, and it’s important to use them wisely. Don’t ask until you are certain you cannot move any further with the game. Then, get the hint to tackle the next puzzle.
Hold Onto Clues
Keep in mind that you could get a clue early in the game that you won’t need until later. It’s a good idea to have someone in the group hold onto all the clues, so you know what you have at all times. Then, you can pick through the clues and find the one that will help you during a specific situation.

Spread Out
It’s also important for your group to spread out while in the escape room. There are lots of clues to find and puzzles to solve, and if everyone tries to work on the same things, you won’t make it through. Everyone should tackle different things, so you can make it to the end.
Once you escape, you’ll want to jump in your vehicle and go to the next attraction. Your ride over can be as much fun as the attraction itself when you get a new vehicle from Mike Shaw Toyota in Corpus Christi, Texas. Your Toyota will ensure you have as much fun as possible everywhere you go.
