Toyota is changing and evolving. Toyota’s plans in place for 2022 are the new 2022 Corolla Cross small SUV, redesigning the full-size Tundra pickup truck and GR86 sports coupe. There will be several new special additions, like Toyota’s blacked-out Nightshade Edition. Toyota has a lot of plans in store for 2022. Let’s take a look at what’s to come!
GR86
The 86-sport coupe is fully redesigned and renamed. The GR is an acknowledgment to Toyota’s Gazoo Racing Motorsports Division. This is a new generation, affordable rear-wheel-drive sports car. This vehicle has added horsepower, up to 23, and more torque. The 2022 model has added aggressive styling and aerodynamics. The seating has also been updated to 2+2. In addition to these sporty features, there are also added safety features for those models with automatic transmission.
Corolla Cross
As mentioned earlier, the new 2022 Corolla Cross small SUV is an all-new SUV. To get a picture, the Corolla cross fits nicely between the C-HR subcompact and RAV4 compact in the SUV lineup. The cargo area is roomy for its class. The Corolla Cross offers all-wheel drive, seven- or eight-inch touchscreen displays, and wireless phone charging. Every trim offers active safety features like blind-spot monitors, cross-traffic alerts, and a cross-traffic braking system.
RAV4
The RAV4 is Toyota’s bestselling vehicle, so it’s natural to want to know what 2022 changes are in store for this vehicle. The 2022 RAV4 has some minor changes and an added trim level. The most exciting change is the expansion of the hybrid line with a new SE hybrid trim. The new hybrid RAV4 SE trim offers cloth seats, a seven-inch touchscreen display, options for heated seats and steering wheels, a moonroof, a larger touchscreen, and more. Other minor upgrades include new wheels, LED interior lights, and various trim levels for off-road adventures.

Tundra
The Toyota Tundra has been fully redesigned for 2022, which is the first redesign in 15 years. The new Tundra is equipped with two new powertrains, a twin-turbocharged V-6, and a hybrid system. This means the switches are from leaf springs to a multi-link rear suspension system. Adaptive suspension is also available for the first time. The tundra will be packed with more active safety features for all trims, a 14-inch touchscreen multimedia system, a towing capacity of 12,000 pounds, RWD and 4WD, as well as six suspensions and trim levels.
